Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre – K. Himmafushi

The Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre (DTRC) is run by the National Drug Agency to help people recover from drug addiction. The centre provides a safe place where drug users can stay while they work on getting better and building a new life without drugs.

We understand how hard addiction is. DTRC provides a safe place where you can stay, recover, and get the support you need to break free from drugs. Our programs are designed to help you overcome addiction and build the strength to face life’s challenges without drugs.

DTRC follows the Therapeutic Community (TC) model rooted in Islamic teachings. We believe recovery happens when people support each other through care, trust, and cooperation. Our community helps you develop self-responsibility, rebuild family relationships, respect positive values, and find the inner strength to move forward. History

The Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre was opened on 26 June 1997 by the Government of the Republic of Maldives to help Maldivians struggling with addiction.

Operating hours

• Administration section: 08:00 – 14:00
• Security and welfare: 24 hours, 7 days a week
• Clinical services: 08:00 – 21:00
