A Malé centre providing after-care for people who have completed detoxification, residential or halfway house treatment, and community treatment for those referred after assessment.

About this center

The Community Service Centre is established to provide after-care services to those who complete detoxification centre treatment, residential treatment or halfway house programmes, and to provide treatment and rehabilitation to those who are referred to community treatment after indicative assessment.

How clients come into treatment

  • Those placed under a rehabilitation order issued by the Drug Court.
  • Those who come forward voluntarily and are assessed as suitable for treatment at a Community Service Centre.
  • Clients referred from other services.

What community treatment involves

  • Attending to sign in.
  • Urine testing for substance use.
  • Group counselling and individual counselling sessions.
  • Religious classes, life skills classes and drug education classes.
  • Completing community service.
